DIVORCE
The Orthodox Church strongly frowns on divorce. Our saviour said, "What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder (Matt. 19:6)
There must be severe extenuating circumstances wherein the Church very reluctantly awards special dispensation from the bishop. The bishop or the proper ecclesiastical authority will study the circumstances and after they are found valid, permission or denial will be given.
