The resurrection of Jesus is a sublime fact of the past. The resurrection of the believer in Jesus is a glorious event in the future. But the resurrection is more than both these things; it is also a vital experience of the present!
Men and women are today passing from the perishable to the imperishable, from darkness into light, from death to deathless life, as they live in glad obedience and consecration to Jesus Christ. Today you and I, if we will, may enter into the fullness of the abundant life which is available to all of us, through Him. This is resurrection now!
There are, if we will take them, resources adequate for meeting every situation we may be called upon to face. We need cleansing—He makes the heart pure! We need strength—He gives us His strength! We need courage—he gives faith that casts out fear! We need guidance—He shows us the way to go! We need power over temptation—He helps us to master sin!
Would you enter into that life today? Its source is in Jesus himself. Its power comes through the operation of the Holy Spirit. Its secret is in the complete surrender of ourselves to Christ.
"If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above. Set your mind on things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth. For you died, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then you also will appear with Him in glory." Colossians 3:1-4
