THE CHURCH IS DIVIDED INTO TWO PARTS:

THE CHURCH MILITANT is composed of the CLERGY AND LAITY, which are DEACONS, PRIESTS AND BISHOPS with the COMMUNICANTS OR FAITHFUL of the Church.

The CHURCH TRIUMPHANT is composed of all those who have tasted death but LIVE ON IN THE GLORY OF GOD.

1. SUNDAY: In Commemoration of OUR LORD'S RESURRECTION. THE FAITHFUL are never to FAST on SUNDAY or to penance.

2. MONDAY: In commemoration of the ANGELIC WORLD- THE ANGELS.'-

3. TUESDAY; In commemoration of the Prophets and particularly, ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST, known as the Forerunner or Prophet who was beheaded. He is not to be confused with St. John, the : beloved Disciple and Evangelist.

4. WEDNESDAY; Dedicated to the HOLY CROSS in memory of the betrayal of Jesus Christ. It Is a FAST DAY

5. THURSDAY; In commemoration of the HOLY APOSTLES, THE BISHOPS AND FATHERS OF THE CHURCH, and AND WONDERWORKERS.

6. FRIDAY; Dedicated to the HOLY CROSS in memory of the Passion and Crucifixion of our Lord. It is also a FAST DAY.

7. SATURDAY; In commemoration of the BLESSED THEOTOKOS. Also - ALL SAINTS and the FAITHFULL DEPARTED (Church Triumphant).
