NOVEMBER 1
- FEAST DAY OF
- SAINTS COSMAS & DAMIAN
|
Cosmas and Damian were brothers who were also doctors of medicine. They were devoted Christians who became the "first practicing doctor missionaries of the Christian Church".
Their prayers and miracles of medicine healed thousands but they never accepted any kind of payment for their services. Despite their terrific contributions to the faithful, they too suffered martyrdom from the persecutors for their devotion to their Faith and service to humanity. |
