ST. KATHERINE

 



St. Katherine .was a young lady age 18, of noble birth and great education. She was considered one of the greatest supporters of the Christian Faith and challenged all the pagan philosophers In public debate and defeated them.

Her fame, beauty and intellect became renown throughout the Roman Empire. She was exiled and tortured and suffered martyrdom on a huge spiked studded wheel for refusing to denounce her Christian Faith and died in defense of It Her body lies in St. (Catherine's' Monastery at the foot of Mt Sinai
where it is venerated by Catholics, Protestants and Orthodox to this day.
