FEAST OF ST. LUKE THE EVANGELIS

| The New Testament begins with four Gospels written by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. These four great writers of the Church were called Evangelists (which means "one who proclaims good news" St. Luke was a skillful physician and a master artist who spoke many languages and was considered one of the great scholars of his day. Luke could also be called the Church's first "iconographer" (a painter of Holy
