 ST. MATHEW 
(The Evangelist)

 

St. Mathew was a tax collector, whose profession was detested by the populace. He was one of the first Disciples of our Lord and followed Him in his ministry.
He became a dedicated preacher of the Faith and an important author of segments of the Holy Gospel or Bible.
