FEAST OF THE THREE HIERARCHS
|
The Greek word Hierarch means Bishop. The Three Hierarchs are considered the Patron Saints of education and culture. These three Bishops are St. Basil the Great, St. Gregory the Theologian and St. John Chrysostom and they are honored together. Through this celebration we are reminded of the contribution ancient Greece made to both civilization and to Christianity.
